Our Company
Response and Recovery, LLC was started May 3, 2021, by Vanessa A. Addai, a nurse, and Jamal S. Tyson, a social worker. We have been in practice in the field of pediatric critical care and pediatric psychology for over two decades in the Philadelphia area. We decided to come together and bring awareness to the general public in saving lives through certifying individuals in CPR and for Healthcare professionals throughout the Philadelphia area.
Bios of the owners
Vanessa A. Addai is a Master’s prepared Registered Nurse with 17 years of clinical experience across the lifespan of adults and children. She is a Certified Basic Life Support Instructor as well as a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified. She also carries certification as a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN). Vanessa has a background in medicine as well as mental health. Her Master’s degree is in Psychiatry. She is a nursing educator and instructor of students and laypersons.
Jamal S. Tyson is a Bachelor’s prepared Social Worker with graduate courses under his belt. He has 30 years in the healthcare and social services industry. He provides support and resources to children and their families. He has certifications in the areas of children with Autism, Trauma, and other special needs.
Our Mission Statement
Response and Recovery, LLC’s objective is to certify individuals in CPR, AED, and First Aid. Our target consumers are Healthcare Providers that require initial or renewal certifications as well as the lay community that require certification for their professional use or personal gain. Our main goal is to provide the tools needed to respond to an emergency.
Our Vision Statement
Response and Recovery, LLC’s future includes the growth and expansion of the company. Our goal is to hire additional staff to accommodate the increase in demand for CPR training. We plan to add offices in other states with trained representatives to head up the management at that location. We also want to expand the services we offer to include ALS and PALS.
